This unapologetic “Die Hard in a Hospital” takes the bits of Raid, Die Hard, Vidyut’s martial arts skills and makes for a fun ride, provided you know that’s what you’re signing up for.
The not-so-subtle nod to the genre classics with a shot dwelling on a stack of DVD’s that include John Wick, Speed and Die Hard in the first act should set your expectations just right if you’re unfamiliar. Frankly, with Vidyut, I expect just this and so this did not disappoint.
Fights and inventive action choreography aside, there isn’t too much to offer in terms of novelty, but it scratches an itch. I do look forward to the better placing of these skills rather than in a template so familiar. All in good time.
