There’s nothing particularly new here, but it has some charm. The cons are silly but work for what they are doing with them in terms of the story.
The seasoned Saif and Rani were a treat to watch. Didn’t miss either of the Bachchans, with Saif replacing one and Pankaj Tripathi replacing another.
Sharwari is a welcome new fresh face for the limited actresses Bollywood has in circulation within the age bracket. Siddharth Chaturvedi seems to riff off what worked for him in Gully Boy. Not sure this is the sort of film that could have shown an extension in range, maybe later.
Although I didn’t hate it, the indulgence and slow-mos got old fast. Quite a bit of cringe and crass though. I miss the days when at least you could bank on great songs in YRF films. Alas, this is not one of them.
Will I still watch B&B 4.0? Probably.
